Granora
The funding landscape, decoded.
Philanthropy runs on fragmented data
American philanthropy moves more than $800 billion a year, yet the people making funding decisions — on both sides — work from scattered databases, stale spreadsheets, and stated priorities that rarely match actual behavior. The data exists. It's just never been connected, visualized, or made useful at the speed decisions need to happen.
Stated ≠ actual
Foundations publish focus areas that don't reflect where their dollars actually go. Nonprofits waste weeks applying to funders who will never say yes.
Siloed sources
IRS 990-PFs, federal assistance listings, grantee networks, and financials live in separate systems with no shared keys.
No live signal
When federal grants terminate or priorities shift, there's no telemetry. Teams find out weeks later, if at all.
Every dollar in American philanthropy, indexed and visualized
Granora is the data fabric and analytics layer for American philanthropy — 150,000+ foundations, 2M+ grants, and $800B+ in giving indexed, connected, and surfaced through a single analytics-first interface. Built for people who think in data.
We designed and built the full product end-to-end: the marketing site, the interactive funding maps, the intelligence dashboards, the AI-powered funder search, and the grantee and grantor workspaces that turn raw signal into decisions.
Analytics-first, not form-first
Most grant software is built around forms and spreadsheets. Granora is built around a data fabric — IRS filings, federal assistance listings, foundation networks, and real-time termination feeds all connected into one queryable model. Every surface in the product is a view on that fabric.
The interface pairs interactive funding maps (built on Deck.gl and MapLibre) with AI-powered search that ranks funders by actual giving behavior, not stated priorities. A Bloomberg-style monitoring layer tracks federal grant terminations live — so teams can spot replacement funders the moment a grant ends.
On the workflow side, the same fabric powers foundation dossiers, proposal drafting, pipeline tracking, and automated outreach. The tools sit downstream of the intelligence layer rather than the other way around — which is what makes Granora feel different from every other platform in the category.
